So
where do you begin?
The
first question to ask yourself is “Who has a vested interest in this
advice given?’ and look at some facts. “Isn’t it glaringly obvious
when millions of people die each year from nutritional deficiency
diseases, auto immune problems and toxins, that we have got it all wrong?
If
you want to live a long and happy, disease free life, Who can tell you
how? Answer! someone who is
doing just that. There are
many cultures in the world today who don’t suffer from disease and live
healthy happy lives. Look at
what they eat and avoid eating and other concepts they incorporate into
their lives and do the same.
You
don’t even have to go to these communities yourself because many people
have done just that and documented these studies.
Why
do we need to read about and be conscious about what foods do for us?
Because
if we don’t have this understanding, we find little reason to take the
time and make the effort and as is sometimes the case, pay the bit extra
required to change your diet.
According
to John and Jill Engelmann in their book ‘Healthy, Slim people eat
fat’
“To
provide you with the understanding we believe is necessary for
self-management of your health we need to go back to the time when Pasteur
mistakenly led the public into believing that one caught a disease. Pasteur’s misinterpretation of the true source of disease
provided the embryonic pharmaceutical industry with the opportunity to
exploit this information. Pasteur’s
deathbed recognition that the source of disease was a function of our
internal environment (digestive system) goes unrecognized by the drug
companies and many members of the medical industry today”
So
consider this, feeling great, well and energetic and unhasseled always, is
well worth the time and bother to follow some good sound nutrition advice.
A reward enough in itself apart from the incidental fact that you
will be taking care of your body for the later years.
Take
on what you can and are willing to do a bit at a time and if you are a bit
confused, start with looking .
